Marin Miller, only seventeen years old, is forced to grow up fast with the death of her
Mother, 3 months from graduation. Begging her father to allow her to finish high school
before moving to Alaska where her father now worked.
Her father allowing her to return to Texas and attend the college, selected by her
mother. Finally receiving her Master’s. Her only salvation from the loss of her mother
and feeling desperately alone, she continued to visit her mother’s grave, pouring out
the emptiness in her heart. The loss of her mother, and her dad and brother still living in
Alaska; forcing her become a strong, independent woman.
Her only complication in life, her obsession with a man she briefly met in college,
Zachary Boyd. Accidentally meeting again several years later. Their strained relationship
and her penchant for fast sports cars, resulting in a serious brush with death.
Her life then changing dramatically after receiving a phone call from a woman claiming
to be her dead mother’s sister, from Barcelona, Spain. A family she had hated all her
life because they disowned her mother when she married my dad. The emergence of
her mother’s sister, her Aunt, convincing her to visit Spain to see where her mother was
born. Ultimately witnessing an unforeseen tragedy and unable to rid herself of the
tragedy.
Her refuge from her life’s challenging events, always her visits her to her dead parents
graves and finally opening up her heart to the man she loved.
